Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Toby L'Estrange became the latest American to make his professional debut as he came off the bench for London Welsh this weekend in their win over Ealing. That match had the potential to have five Americans in it but L'Estrange and U.S.-eligible Ronnie McLean were the only two to see time. In the upper division in England it was an eventful day for Chris Wyles. He scored a try but he also picked up a rare yellow card. He'll at least feel better that Saracens won. Taku Ngwenya scored for Biarritz but because his team lost to Bayonne he won't feel any joy. The loss means Biarritz are almost certainly relegated. They only have six games left and are 18 points from safety. Plus, 13th place Oyonnax have a game in hand.
