The SIRC is starting to take shape after last weekend's games. Central Florida made a big statement in the South by beating rival Florida State 77-10. The win clinches the South's #1 seed for the SIRC playoffs while FSU and Florida International, who beat South Florida last weekend, will fight it out for the second playoff berth. UCF remains unbeaten, despite having one loss on their record because of a forfeit due to administrative errors. UCF will host FIU this week while Florida State travels to USF.

The North looks a lot different this week as MTSU won 2 games over the weekend. The Moosemen topped division rival Kennesaw State on Saturday by a score of 29-24, building an early second half lead, then surviving a late KSU push. MTSU then hosted Memphis on Sunday and showed very few signs of fatigue. MTSU clicked early and often against the Tigers resulting in a 52-12 win that puts MTSU in a position to clinch the North's #1 seed this weekend (with a Georgia Southern loss to KSU) or next week by beating GSU.
Speaking of Georgia Southern, they picked up a win this weekend over KSU via forfeit as the Owls were unable to make the trip from Murfreesboro, TN on Saturday to Statesboro, Georgia to play Georgia Southern on Sunday, a game that was rescheduled due to the ice storm that his the south last month. GSU is now sitting in 2nd place as they prepare to travel to KSU this week.
