The match between the U.S. in Canada in Sacramento, as first reported by TIAR, has been officially confirmed by the IRB as they released the schedule for the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup. The match will take place at the Cal Expo Facility on Saturday June 21 at 6:00 p.m. et/3:00 p.m. pt. A new 8,000 seat stadium is current under construction and will be finished in time for the match. Sacramento Republic, a USL Pro team that will call the stadium home, will play the first match in the facility on June 7th.
The announcement completes the Eagles summer schedule. They will also play Scotland on June 7th in Houston and Japan in Los Angeles on June 14th. Other scheduled matches for the Pacific Nations Cup include Samoa vs. Tonga and Canada vs. Japan on June 7th, Fiji vs. Tonga on June 14th, and Fiji vs. Samoa on June 21st.
