PRP Release
Glendale Raptors 59, SFGG 17
The match between the Raptors and Golden Gate was to be a preview of PRP final on May 17th but SFGG elected to rest many of their regular starters as a result of the long season leading to a big 59-17 Glendale win. That win will give them plenty of confidence as they head into the final on a nine match winning streak with only one loss to their name all season, which came against SFGG.
David Caswell got the try scoring started in the third minute after captain Zach Fenolgio put him away with a great pass. That opened the floodgates as the Raptors went into the half with a 33-5 lead. The second half continued to see lopsided play with Glendale scoring at will. Max Statler was named the man of the match for scoring a 100 meter try on the day.

Olympic Club 31, Belmont Shore 17
Olympic Club finished their season on a high note in anticipation of next year with a 31-17 win over Belmont Shore. Belmont have one more match against OMBAC to finish out the season. It didn’t look like it would be an O-Club victory early as Belmont scored two quick tries. The first of which came off an intercept and the other through good line speed. 13 minutes in Belmont found themselves up only 10-0 thanks to a powerful wind making kicking difficult. At this point O-Club rallied and roughly 25 minutes in great hands freed up John Gallo for a run down the wing. He was high-tackled and the ref awarded a penalty try and a yellow card. With a man advantage O-Club piled on the tries, scoring three (Dustin Muhn, Gallo again, and Mike Haley) within ten minutes to take a 26-10 lead into the break.
Belmont didn’t go away easy and came out in the second half attacking. They scored 14 minutes into the second half following some very strong runs. However, that would be all they would get on the day. O-Club would respond with a try from Garrett Hawley a few minutes later to give the game its final score. Credit to Olympic Club for coming out and fighting hard despite the absences of Colin Hawley who was a late scratch. Belmont Shore were missing Peter Dahl, which certainly affected their play.
OMBAC 52, Denver Barbarians 22
With their win over the Barbarians, OMBAC have set themselves up in a good position to take third in the table if they pick up a point against Belmont Shore in their make-up match. Against the Barbarians, OMBAC was up early and got huge contributions from their leading players. Runaway PRP scoring leader Zach Pangelinan had three tries and even more penalties and conversions to solidify his lead at the top. Tai Tuisamoa had two tries himself as he pushes for more time with the Eagles. Overall the match was tight with the Barbarians matching nearly every effort from OMBAC. But with travel and a long season the Barbarians tired at the end allowing OMBAC to make it a larger margin. Denver had a chance to take third had they won but now sit in fourth place.
