While some players did well individually our grades are still low this week because the overall team didn't perform to the level they needed.
Mike Palefau (5.5): Palefau showed his professionalism once again going from spot duty off the bench to starter with an impact. His four tries were no coincidence and result of his strong play.
Nick Edwards (4.5): As one of the leaders on the team Edwards needed to help lift the team in London. Instead he was a role player once again. That is not going to cut it.
Danny Barrett (5.5): He started the first match but then came off the bench for the last five. He seemed to do well in the impact sub role.

Garrett Bender (5): Bender lost his starting spot as the weekend went on. He is still young and needs to learn how to make his presence felt throughout the tournament.
Zack Test (7): Say it with us: Once again the Eagles best player on the weekend. Easily the MVP of the season for the Eagles. His five tries say it all.
Brett Thompson (6): It didn't show up in the try scoring category but Thompson had another meaningful tournament. He still needs to kick it into a higher gear but he was making a lot of the small plays, like a final pass, over the weekend that helped the team put in a better performance.
Will Holder (6): In just two tournaments he has made a lot of progress. He's always been pegged as one that can excel in 7s and it's showing. If he isn't involved with the Eagles hopefully he gets a full summer of elite 7s to continue developing.
Andrew Durutalo (5.5): He only appeared in four matches but he started three of them. Consistency has been a key for Durutalo's performance and it isn't always there. Still, he has some of the best pair of hands on the team.
Pono Haitsuka (6): There are many thing that Haitsuka does well but he still has those moments that make you scratch your head. Those will end with time. He has shown he deserves a spot next year.
Madison Hughes (7): How important is Hughes to the team? It was almost night and day from Glasgow when he was on the field. He brings a level of rugby savvy rare in any player. His boot is also phenomenal.
Nu'u Punimata (5): He saw time as the tournament progressed but still struggled to find himself. We've said it before but Punimata needs to find a better way to make an impact once he comes on.
Carlin Isles (5): Coming back into the squad after a three tournament absence Isles looked out of sorts with his teammates at times but also looked like a better rugby player. He made a few good defensive plays but at the same time gave up a few tries with missed tackles.
