Milwaukee moved a few points closer to Metropolis while the Kansas City Blues stayed on pace to match the Minnesota side's point total with wins over the weekend. The Barbarians beat the Cincinnati Wolfhounds 26-23 while the Blues smashed the Lions 52-15. In the Barbarians match the Wolfhounds went ahead early with tries from John McCafferty and Rashad Finley before Jeremy Petralski scored for Milwaukee. The Wolfhounds would then extend their lead through Ryan Webb but then the Barbarians launched their comebacks with tries from Mark Fine, Alex Oldakowski, and Kyle Cwiklis. The Wolfhounds managed a penalty during that time and a final try but the comeback fell just short.

The Blues scores early and often against the Lions getting tries from over a dozen players. The Lions got all of their points off penalties. Metropolis didn't sit idly bye over the weekend. They beat the Griffins 58-17 while the other match in the competition had Palmer beating Columbus 37-33. Despite the loss to the Blues the Lions are fourth in the table but have played eight matches. The Blues have only played six. The Griffins are at the bottom of the league with only six points.
Northeast
It was close but Mystic River have kept their perfect record in tact with a 21-16 win over Hartford. The club, which merged with Middlesex in the summer, got big performances from Jon Kokinda, Vini Daley, and Rob Brennan. Mystic River are now 5-0 in the season with 23 points. Hartford dropped to 1-3 on the season. Portland are second in the standings. They played a non-league match with the Boston Irish Wolfhounds and lost 40-7. White Plains helped their case with a 36-12 win over Amoskeag.
Mid-Atlantic
Easily the most anticipated match in the Mid-Atlantic was the showdown between the unbeaten Potomac Exiles and the Baltimore-Chesapeake Brumbies. The day ended well for the Exiles as they won 22-11. The win moves them to 6-0 and 27 points. That's eight better than the Brumbies but Baltimore-Chesapeake have played one less match. The Brumbies opened the scoring with a penalty from Patrick Foley before the Exiles earned a penalty of their own from Mat Quigley. The first try came from the Exiles via Jason Vanterpool. Foley would add his second penalty of the day a few minutes later and the Robert Barberi would score on the other side of the half to finish the scoring for the Brumbies. The match only turned in the last twenty minutes when Ben Wiedemer and Alex Deigel scored tries.
The other highly anticipated match was Schuylkill River taking on the Norfolk Blues. Schuylkill River won the match 32-28. Matthew Chiaramonte scored early via a penalty for the Exiles before Josh Keys scored the first try. The Blues would then get a couple of tries sandwiched between penalties from Chiaramonte. The Blues would open up in the second half with a few more tries but then a try from Greg Rasmuson would give them the win. Norfolk are tied for third in the standings withe 17 points while Schuylkill River have 16. The Blues do have a game in hand.
Also from the division the Raleigh Vipers beat the Pittsburgh Harlequins 32-3. The Vipers are fourth in the table with 17 points while the Harlequins are still winless.
