Junior All-Americans Name First Selection Camp

The Junior All-Americans will begin their preparations to qualify for next year's Junior World Rugby Trophy in Portugal with a came later this month in Florida. 49 players have been invited to the team with players once again coming from all over the world. Joining head coach Billy Millard on his staff this year is Santa Monica head coach Marc Stcherbina and Denver Barbarians head coach Peter Borlase. There will once again be a strong connection with the High School All-Americans with a vast majority of the players coming from those camps. After the Thanksgiving camp there will be a Christmas camp.

In addition to the group in camp, 2014 captain Oliver Drew, Hanco Germishuys (on trial at Gloucester), Titi Lamositele, and Ben Cima are unavailable. Some of the notable names in camp include Junior Helu, Val Lee-Lo, Louis Mulholland, and Connor McRae.

Unlike in past years the U.S. will have to qualify for this year's tournament with a home and a way series with Canada in the spring. It is expected that the away leg will take place in Victoria with the home leg set for Seattle. It's also possible that both matches could be held in Canada.
