Press Release
Old Blue RFC of New York, one of the leading clubs in USA Rugby, has announced its Spring schedule for 2015. This will include the second half of the inaugural American Rugby Premiership, which replaced the Elite Cup and is the top fifteens competition in the East. Old Blue RFC, in line with its mission to provide players with the most challenging rugby available, will also travel to take on New Orleans and Canadian provincial side Ontario, as well as top college programs like Penn State and Navy and other local club rivals.
“We are committed to taking on the best opposition we can find, as we believe we will only improve if we keep raising the bar and pushing ourselves harder”, said Old Blue Head Coach Marty Veale, who will once again be working with Steve Lewis (backs) and Gary Lee Heavner (D2 side).

The Old Blue B side, which won the National Division 3 Championship last year, have since moved up to National Division 2 and have relished the increased competition. The squad are confident of making another deep run in the spring playoffs.
Looking further ahead to the summer, Old Blue will also be back to challenge for National Titles in the abbreviated game of Sevens, where they have enjoyed great success in recent years, finishing as 2014 National Finalists in both Mens and Womens Sevens.
Players of all levels are welcome to join the Old Blue rugby family at www.oldbluerugby.com.
