In total there are ten players on the books of Premiership clubs. Unfortunately, of those players only Blaine Scully, Chris Wyles, and Samu Manoa are considered regular starters for their teams. A few others, including Eric Fry, Hayden Smith, and Tom Bliss have made appearances either as starters or off the bench but aren't considered regulars. Fortunately for those player the fall has been busy with 'A' League action.
The busiest club in terms of Americans starting in the 'A' League is Saracens. Titi Lamositele hasn't played this fall due to his knee injury but both Hayden Smith and Thretton Palamo have seen significant time. Smith is a regular starter with the Saracens Storm and after recovering from his injury Palamo has done in the same. In fact, over the last two weeks Palamo has carried over his Eagles form and is a mainstay on the team. The Storm went 6-0 in the fall and have earned a home semi-final against Newcastle.

That means that the Americans on Saracens could come up against Eric Fry. Outside of Scully, Wyles, and Manoa, Fry has seen the most time in the Premiership. He's started a few matches, come off the bench in a few more, and has also started several 'A' League matches. Getting playing time, even if it's at the 'A' League level is crucial for all Americans but especially for a prop like Fry. Even though he was outmatched his overall skill was much better in the All Blacks match than it had been a year ago. This is why it's also too bad Lamositele picked up an injury. The Eagles need props playing high-level rugby.
Arguably the player to gain the most from the 'A' League is scrumhalf Tom Bliss. He signed with the Wasps Academy at the beginning of the year after seeing some time in the 'A' League with London Irish last year. When he's been given the opportunity to play, which is almost every time out in the 'A' League, Bliss has shown he has plenty of talent. So much so that he has earned time in the Premiership, LV= Cup, and the European Champions Cup. If his 'A' League form is any indicator he could be getting major Premiership minutes in the next few seasons.
Greg Peterson started once for Leicester in the 'A' League before signing with the team through the end of the year. Lastly, Cam Dolan recently returned to health and is a regular for Northampton, including scoring a try for the team today.
