The Eagles kicked off their NACRA 7s with an impressive 54-0 win over Barbados. After their match against the St. Vincent & Grenadines was cancelled earlier in the day (due to a visa snafu not the fault of St. Vincent & Grenadines) it was the first run out for the Eagles and as expected they dominated from start to finish.

The match got started with Folau Niua putting in a nice grubber kick recovered by Martin Iosefo for the try. They U.S. almost double their lead 30 seconds later when Iosefo put in an unselfish pass to Nate Augspurger. It would have been great except that Augspurger wasn't expecting the pass and it was knocked on. Off the scrum that was the only time Barbados touched the ball in the first half.

Still, it was just a matter of time before the Eagles piled in the tries. First it was Danny Barrett off a lineout and then Perry Baker, Iosefo, and Niua (off a very nice dummy) had the Eagles up at halftime 33-0.

Barbados aren't a bad side and had okay possession to start the second half as the U.S. made a few unforced errors. But like a broken record the U.S. were back at it and Carlin Isles found room on the outside for the try. Maka Unufe then added another. On both tries Chris Wyles made the difficult kick from the sideline showing his versatility. The match finished with a final try from Hughes.

The U.S. will now face Mexico at 6:06 p.m. et/3:06 p.m. pt to finish out their day and will play Jamaica tomorrow to wrap up pool play. Their almost certain final opponents Canada won their first match against The Bahamas and their second match against Trinidad & Tobago but it wasn't a clean first half in the last match.

Starters: Baker, Niua, Iosefo, Bender, Test, Augspurger, Barrett
