Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

It was a relatively busy weekend for Americans overseas despite having a large portion of the players back with the Eagles. Most of the action was in New Zealand where Mike Lawrenson started two matches for Counties Manukau over the last week and Toni Pulu one. Look for Lawrenson to be one of the big names the Eagles bring into the team after the World Cup. Also in New Zealand, four Americans are involved in the Taranaki Development side. Mike Teo reportedly played well for the team and scored a try against Counties Manukau. In Australia, Tom Coolican started once again for the Sydney Stars. In Europe, no American saw action as they were either with the Eagles or were not in the line-up.
