New head coach Jules McCoy has cast a very wide net bringing in current, former, and prospective players for a large selection camp for the Women Eagles 7s. With less than a year to go to Rio McCoy will have her hands full whittling down the team. The star players from the last season, including Meya Bizer, Lauren Doyle, Vix Folayan, Kelly Griffin, Alev Kelter, and others will be with the team. In total there are nearly 25 players listed as belonging to the OTC, which would be a big step up from the year before.
As mentioned, there are also a number of players being given the opportunity to work their way back into the team. Some of those players include Ryan Carlyle, Jessica Javelet, Nia Williams, and Deven Stockert. Other players like Kelsi Stockert, Nicole Heavirland, and ARPTC players Hunter Griendling, Ashley Perry, and Abby Vestal. It would be a shock to see one of those players make their way on to the Eagles.
