Yeah, that's Sonny Bill getting punched.
Sonny Bill Back To Union

It looks more and more like a sure thing that Sonny Bill Williams is headed back to union and the Chiefs. The Sydney Telegraph is reporting that the move is an effort on Williams part to extend his playing career. Apparently union isn't as taxing as league. The move will also allow Williams to work his way back into the All Blacks ahead of the World Cup. Williams is currently playing with the Sydney Roosters. The Roosters are second in the table with one week to go. After the playoffs Williams would be free to join the Chiefs ahead of next season. Of course we have been down this road before and stranger things have happened with Sonny Bill than switching codes.

Barbarians Announce Fixtures

The Barbarians have announced the next four confirmed fixtures. Two take place in the November test window while the other two take place next Spring.

It's possible that Americans could feature in the matches against Fiji and England as the U.S. won't have fixture on those dates. The U.S. will be coming off their November tour but finish a week before the Barbarians play Fiji. Last year Taku Ngwenya and Samu Manoa suited up for the team.

Ranfurly Changes Hands Again

Otago's claim to the Ranfurly Shield lasted all of one week. The outfit lost to Hawke's Bay 20-19. Hawke's Bay were the aggressors on the day and got out to an early lead. Otago came back but it wasn't enough. When Otago first held the Renfurly Shield they did so for 56 years.
