The Cup quarterfinals are set at the College 7's Nationals with many of the favorites advancing. Defending champion Arkansas State looked very impressive on the day only giving up a single try while scoring 120 points in wins over Oregon State, North Texas, and Florida. Their opponents in last year's final, Life, similarly looked impressive. They only gave up two tries while scoring 115 points. They topped Pool F with wins over Navy, Texas, and Colorado.

The biggest surprise of the day came in Pool D where Davenport defeated Central Washington 10-7. Reece Czarnekci and Mason Baum scored for the Panthers while Jacob Bates scored for the Wildcats. However, thanks to Central Washington's +73 point differential they are one of the two second place teams to make the Cup quarterfinals. The Panthers also advanced thanks to their perfect record.

St. Mary's advanced from Pool B. They beat Middle Tennessee State 49-0, Arizona State 33-17, and Oklahoma 42-7. Dartmouth took Pool E on the back of Madison Hughes while Lindenwood won Pool C thanks in large part to a narrow 17-14 win over Air Force, who also advance to the Cup quarterfinals as one of the second place teams. The Zoomies only beat out Cal Poly by one point with a +55 point differential in comparison to the Mustangs +54. Cal Poly will now be seen as a favorite in the Bowl competition.

The Cup quarterfinal match-ups will feature Arkansas State vs. Air Force, Dartmouth vs. Davenport, Life vs. Central Washington, and St. Mary's vs. Lindenwood. Overall these matches should be much tighter affairs that what was witnessed earlier today. The Life-Central Washington match-up is in particular intriguing because both teams were thought to have been finalist candidates. One of those teams will go home disappointed. The Dartmouth-Davenport match will feature to of the best prospects in Hughes and JP Eloff.

Cal Poly, Oklahoma, Oregon State, San Diego State, Arizona State, North Texas, Navy, and Texas will all play in the Bowl. South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina State, Auburn, Colorado State, San Jose State, and Middle Tennessee State will contest the Shield.

On the women's side, things similarly went in a straightforward manner. Norwich topped Pool A as expected by a healthy margin. Still, Penn State arguably had the best day as they only gave up a single try on way to the top spot in Pool B. Stanford and Indiana won Pool C and Pool D respectively. As second place finishers Davenport, James Madison, Ohio State, and Cal all advance to the Cup quarterfinals.  Georgia Tech will play Virginia and Oregon State will play Texas in the Bowl while Princeton will play Sam Houston and Clemson will face George Washington in the Shield.

The Men's Open bracket saw the most parity at the tournament with only one team--UW-Stout--going undefeated. They topped Pool B with Sonoma State coming in second. Principia took Pool A and will be joined in the Cup semi-finals by Lafayette College.
