A Grubber t-shirt.
Hopefully, most of you have now noticed the Grubber banner at the top of the site as well as our efforts to promote Grubber here and on social media. We wanted to take the time to explain why we're so involved with Grubber and what it means for TIAR.

It should come as no surprise that a rugby website on its own is not a money-making venture. Anyone that has ever done this will tell you that. But it's something we love doing and have sacrificed a lot to make possible. We want to be able to provide you accurate and timely information on the game here in the United States. We also believe that information should be free. As such, we've had to come up with some creative ways to keep things that way. That is why we've officially welcomed Grubber into the TIAR family along with Rugby Marketplace and Rugby Classifieds.

We're extremely grateful to our readers. You are what keeps us going and what keeps us honest in our writing. Readership on the site has been continually growing since we began an it finally reached a point a few months back where we had to find a way to devote more time to the site. The only way we found that possible was to invest in something tangible, hence Grubber. To put it in a simple way, support for Grubber is support for TIAR.

Because we are committed to bringing you information for free we needed to look beyond the traditional sponsorship mechanisms to make things work (Note: We are still extremely grateful to our sponsors and would never turn down the opportunity for a potential partnership). To make the site work we wanted to do something that our readers and all rugby fans would enjoy. We've always liked the style of Grubber and when it became available we jumped at the chance. Our plan is to continue to produce the world brands that currently exist but also to expand our designs to encompass more of an American feel. Without giving too much away our next design is a play on our rugby past while looking ahead to Rio 2016. We welcome any input that you may have.

We hope you understand the need for us to partner with Grubber and Rugby Marketplace and we hope that you will consider them when doing your rugby shopping. We put a lot of thought into the best way to keep TIAR stable and we think we've hit upon something that folks will enjoy. We don't want to force you to pay for something every month and we promise we won't overwhelm you with posts and ads but we do want to give you the option to support TIAR and to give you something in return.
