The Northeast ODA can add another accomplishment to their cabinet after taking him the Tobago 7s title. Playing as the NYC 7s the team didn't have a perfect day two but won when it mattered. As we noted yesterday, the team finished at the top of its pool on day one and was then reseeded to another pool on day two. The day started out well for the team as they defeated Harvard of Trinidad 17-5. Michael St. Claire, Kyle Granby, and Derek Lipscomb scored.

The only blemish on the day came in their second game where they lost to Esher 26-7. Esher had also finished at the top of their pool on day one and had looked good all tournament. Lipscomb scored the only try for the team. But it was only a temporary setback as the team capped off pool play with a 49-5 win over Invictus from Trinidad. Lipscomb and Sean Rafferty scored two tries while Duran Vota, Bobby Keeh, and Bobby McMahon each had tries.

By finishing second in their pool they were matched up against the Dog River Howlers in the semi-finals. As expected it was a tight match but one that ended on a positive note with the NYC 7s winning 21-12. Jared Collinson scored twice while Kyle Granby scored once. The other semi-final saw Atlantis from the U.S. lose to Esher.

In the final the team had a chance to atone for their earlier loss by facing Esher. Once again Colinson played the hero has he scored another two tries to go along with one from Jon Kokinda to give the team a 21-12 win.

On the women's side of things the Canadian Maple Leafs donimated the tournament on the way to a title. They defeated Atlantis 52-12 in the final.
