Coming off a narrow loss to Scotland Canadian head coach Kieran Crowley has made four changes to his starting line-up that will take on the U.S. on Saturday. The newcomers to the team are a mix of veterans and newcomers. Veteran and Glasgow Warriors standout DTH van der Merwe will take the place of the injured Taylor Paris on the wing while Connor Braid will replace Nick Blevins in the centers. It will be his first start of the year. The other two changes to the team come in the forwards where Jake Ilnicki will get his first senior start. He replaces Hubert Buydens. Joining him is Andrew Tiedemann in place of Jason Marshall.
The rest of the team remains the same. The experienced Jamie Cudmore joins Tyler Hotson in the locks while Aaron Carpenter is at hooker. The back-row see Jebb Sinclair, free from a potential red card suspension, John Moonlight, and Tyler Ardron. Phil Mack and Harry Jones are the halfbacks. Ciaran Hearn returns in the center with Jeff Hassler and James Pritchard also returning.
