There were a lot of players that helped the Eagles to a Plate finish in Port Elizabeth over the weekend. Carlin Isles led the way scoring tries, Folau Niua was big with conversions, and Andrew Durutalo was as solid as they come. Any of those players could have been a good choice for our Rugby Marketplace Player of the Week but for us there was no more important player over the weekend than Danny Barrett. He may not have led the team in tries but he was a leader in multiple categories. His runs helped draw in defenders making it possible to spring Carlin Isles on the opposite wing and his defense was impeccable. By the end of the weekend he even got the announcers commenting on his strong play. All in all, a great weekend.
