Red River
New Orleans will have a chance to pad it's lead at the top of the Red River table this week if they can pick up wins on back to back days on the road. First up for the team is the Dallas Reds, the team that finished second in the division last year. The Reds had last weekend off but as Grant Cole describes in his preview at This Is Texas Rugby, "the Reds are hungry." It's early in the season but this is the match to watch in the Red River. Whoever wins this match is going to have a leg up on the competition the rest of the way barring a major upset. Having a game under their belt could help NOLA but they have also lost Chance Doyle from last season.
On Sunday, New Orleans will take on the Griffins. Depending on how much is taken out of them against the Reds NOLA could be tired. Either way, NOLA will be favored. The Griffins picked up a win last week on a last minute try and if they can pick up another win they will be in a nice position as the season progresses. On Saturday, HARC will travel to the Dallas Harlequins while the Ausin Blacks will play their rivals the Huns.

NorCal
The EPA Razorbacks hold a five point lead in NorCal and will face Santa who lost to the EPA Bulldogs last week. This week will be a gut check for the Razorbacks. If they win they will have a very strong position the rest of the season while at the same time putting a Santa Rosa team that made the playoffs last year in a hole. The Sacramento Lions will look to rebound from their loss to the Razorbacks last week by taking on Fresno. It's a match that the Lions should win handily. Lastly, the Bulldogs will face the San Jose Seahawks. The Seahawks picked up a big win in week one before having last weekend off.
SoCal
SoCal is still very much in the air after last weeks up and down results. Belmont Shore lead the way with two straight wins and will play Los Angeles this weekend. LA are coming off a win over OMBAC and if they can get over Belmont should be considered a top favorite to make the playoffs. For Belmont, like the rest of the PRP DI sides, it's the last opportunity to get a run out before the PRP season begins to expect them to field a lot of PRP players.
OMBAC, LA, and Santa Monica are bunched up in the standings with six points a piece. OMBAC will face crosstown rivals Old Aztecs on Saturday. The Old Aztecs are coming off a win over Pasadena. Santa Monica will play Downtown. The Vegas side had a great result in week one against LA but then struggled against Belmont Shore. The last match has promoted Oceanside taking on promoted Pasadena.
