It was another weekend of firsts for Americans overseas. Blaine Scully got his first start for Cardiff. Unfortunately it didn't work out well for the team as they surprisingly fell to Zebre. Cam Dolan sat out last weekend with an injury. Also, Eric Fry made his first start of the season as did Greg Peterson. Todd Clever also got a run out for Newcastle along with Fry but like Cardiff, Newcastle didn't have the best time in their loss to Exeter. Peterson went the full 80 minutes for the Warrirors they beat the Ospreys. In Ireland, Conor Kearns had another try for Trinity (Dublin University) in their win. He was one of three Americans in the line-up. If Kearns continues to play like this he may get a look sooner than later. Over in France, Taku Ngwenya started once again for Biarritz. He scored a try as the team picked up their first win of the season. Also, Samu Manoa started for the first time for Toulon and played 80 minutes.
