All eyes were focused on the World Cup over the weekend. It's been covered enough (if you need a recap here's one) so with the return of World Rugby Weekend Review we'll focus on the rest of the happenings around the globe.
Aviva Premiership
Through three matches Saracens and Leicester are the only two teams with perfect records while other teams like Exeter, Harlequins, Gloucester, and Sale aren't doing too badly either. Saracens added to the winless London Irish's struggles with a 24-14 win on Saturday. Jackson Wray and Andy Goode had tried for Saracens while Owen Farrell was the difference with four penalties. Leicester had a very similar result beating the Wasps 24-16. Niki Goneva and Telusa Veainu scored tries for the Tigers. The match is slightly notable in that only one Englishman scored in the match and that was a penalty from Elliott Daly.
Along with London Irish, Newcastle also are without a win. They lost for the second straight time with a big result, this time to Exeter 41-3. The win for Exeter has them only two points behind first place Saracens. Other weekend winners include Harlequins over Bath 38-28, Gloucester over Worcester 24-22, and Sale over Northampton 20-13.

Top 14
The Top 14 continues to shake itself out post World Cup with some favorites doing well and other struggling. Clermont aren't struggling and their 42-13 win over Castres only proves that. Nick Abendanon had two tries for Clermont which will once again led to more calls for England to open up their selection policies. One team that has struggled so far this year is Toulon who have been missing many players. They lost to Grenoble 33-29 and sit eighth in the table, a full 11 points behind Clermont. Racing Metro are second in the table thanks to a 17-14 win over Brive. Toulouse and Montpellier are on 22 points. They went head to head on Saturday with Toulouse winning 33-25. In other scores, Bordeaux beat La Rochelle 21-16, Oyonnax beat Pau 42-23, and Agen upset Stade Francais 28-23, both of whom are struggling at the bottom of the table.
Guinness Premiership
Scarlets are still the team to beat in the Guinness Pro12 with Connacht and Munster not far behind. Scarlets picked up their sixth straight win as they beat the Dragons 25-15 on Friday. They are still the only team without a loss. Connacht and Munster have one loss a piece. Neither lost over the weekend with Connacht beating Edinburgh 14-9 and Munster beating Ulster 32-28. One team struggling early on is Cardiff who lost to Zebre 26-15 on Saturday. They only have eight points through six games and sit at the bottom of the table along with the Dragons, Zebre, the Ospreys, and Benetton Treviso. Leinster and Glasgow aren't doing poorly. They both won on Sunday with Glasgow beating the Ospreys 31-19 and Leinster beating Benetton Treviso 27-3.
RFU Championship
The RFU Championship had the weekend off.
Pro D2
Lyon lead the Pro D2 but they aren't perfect. In a battle of the top two teams Lyon fell to Aurillac 23-21 on Sunday. Aurillac now only sit three points behind Lyon. Perprignan and Bayonne are next. They also went head to head with Bayonne winning 17-14. Elsewhere, Biarritz picked up their first win of the season beating Beziers 21-15, Aix-en-Provence beat Carcassonne 17-16, Bourgoin beat Colomiers 29-12, Mont-de-Marsan beat Albi 27-9, Montauban beat Tarbes 35-24, and Dax beat Narbonne 21-16.
National Rugby Championship
Brisbane City are the champions of the NRC after defeating the Canberra Vikings 21-10. Francis Fainifo put Canberra up first but that was leveled out just a few minutes later by Cadeyrn Neville. Issac Thompson temporarily put Canberra in front until Nick Frisby and Alex Gibbons scored tries to give Brisbane City the win.
Eccellenza
In the Eccellenza, leaders Rovigo beat L'Aquila 52-7. L'Aquila are the bottom team in the competition. Second place Calvisano beat Viadana 36-12. In other scores, San Dora beat Piacenza 20-17, Mogliano beat Lazio 40-5, and Petrarca beat Fiamme Oro Roma 26-10.
All-Ireland League
Clontarf hold a one point lead in the All-Ireland league over Old Belvedere. Clontarf beat Terenure College 13-3 while Old Belvedere lost to Young Munster 20-18. Also, Cork Constitution beat Ballynahinch 32-23, UCD beat Galwegians 35-3, and Lansdowne beat Garryowen 17-10.
