Good news for Americans at Saracens and Northampton over the weekend as both of those teams advanced to the European Champions Cup quarterfinals. Both Samu Manoa and Chris Wyles earned the starts for their clubs but they didn't emerge with a win. Eric Fry also made it to the European Challenge Cup quarterfinals as he came off the bench in the Falcons win. Elsewhere, Todd Clever played his last match in Japan as NTT Shining Arcs fell out of the playoffs. Anthony Estrella played his last match of the season for Toshiba Fuchu Brave Lupus as they also lost in the playoffs. Also, Nick Civetta came off the bench for Viadana as they inched closer to a spot in next year's Challenge Cup.
