Life Beats South Panthers
The South Panthers continued their preparation for the NACRA Championships by playing the Life Junior Varsity squad. The Panthers learned plenty of lessons as they lost 27-17. Sam Cowley got things started with a penalty kick in the 15th minute. Despite that early penalty the South had plenty of possession and territory and were able to score just three minutes apart around the 30th minute. That gave them a 12-3 lead. However, it wouldn't last as Life scored near the end of the first break (the game was divided into three 30 minute periods) to make it 10-12.
In the second half Conner Mooneyham opened the scoring for Life that was followed up quickly by a try from the Panthers to tie it at 17-17 heading into the second break. In the final period Life's fitness showed through as Richard Davidson and Mitch Wilson added to the final score.

St. Mary's Tops Olympic Club
One of the most high-profile friendlies from the last weekend was Olympic Club taking on St. Mary's in Moraga. The two clubs have had a connection over the years with many players graduating from St. Mary's heading to O-Club to continue playing. It was a close result but the Gaels went on to win 36-31. St. Mary's will face UCSB next while Olympic Club begins it's Pacific Rugby Premiership season against SFGG.
